The Journey

"It is good to have an end to journey toward;
but it is the journey that matters,
in the end."
– Ursula K. Le Guin

The Journey is a promenade performance with an original art pop score. It features 9 musicians and 1 Deaf performer who specialises in BSL poetry, visual vernacular
(a unique blend of physical theatre, signed poetry and mime) and contemporary dance.

It features an integrated touch tour, audio description and all songs are signed in BSL and sign song.

Prepare to embark on a journey.

Let’s weave and howl.
Let’s flood the fields with colourful harmonies and chattering gestures.
Let each movement tell a story.

Expect a curious, jubilant parade, replete with intricate rhythms,
expressive motions and a healthy dose of hope.

It's a story about community, hope & being present.
A reminder, to embrace joy, whatever path you are on.

Be prepared to travel! (It takes place in multiple locations)
Be prepared to get a little lost! (We will try and find our way)

Be prepared to sing, to sign, and gather under the big sky,
marvelling in the moment, hearts open, voices and hands in unison.
